Japan's scientists making a robot to work in health care facilities and to assist health personnel to provide the necessary care for the elderly.
They were scientists in the Ryken Center for the development of diversity in Tokyo and the company of Tokai Rubber Industries of the United robot named "Reba."

ويستخدم "ريبا" آخر ما توصلت إليه تقنيات الاستشعار والتحكم وتحليل المعلومات والتكنولوجيا الميكانيكية ما يجعله أول روبوت من نوعه في العالم بإمكانه رفع مريض وزنه ستين كيلوغراماً من السرير ووضعه في كرسي المقعدين ثم إعادته إلى مكانه مرة أخرى.
وقال المسؤولون في مركز رايكن إن الروبوت يستخدم " إذرعة مثل أذرعة البشر ومزود بأجهزة استشعار تجعله يقوم بأكثر المهمات دقة"، مضيفين أنه روعيت في تصميمه إجراءات السلامة "التي تضمن أمان المريض وراحته".
وأضاف هؤلاء "إن النجاح في صناعة الروبوت ريبا يعد خطوة أساسية نحو معالجة مشكلة الشيخوخة في المجتمع وهو جزء من استراتيجية أشمل من أجل التوسع في تكنولوجيا صناعة الروبوتات مستقبلاً".
